Jill Jones
The album that includes the iconic song "Mia Bocca" from 1987.
Produced by Prince. A critical success but commercial failure, it
is out of print and almost impossible to find. I finally ended up
ordering a mint copy from France for a rather exorbitant price.
Worth every cent. I am willing to buy anything this woman
creates. Click on the icons to see videos.

Vanity 6
A few songs that I hate to love. Another out of print album of
Prince protegées I found my mail order in France. Vanity
broke up with the over-controlling Prince just in time to lose
the lead role in the film "Purple Rain", and Vanity Six
became the much sillier "Apollonia Six" in the film.
Originally to be called "the Hooker's", Prince intentionally
broke every rule of suburban morality to try to create a
scandalous success.
Billy Joel - 52nd Street
Ah, the joys of a bigger iPod. Favourite albums can now
be added as complete units into all that extra space.
This amazing Billy Joel set joins "Glass Houses", both
of which worked as soundtracks for my high school
days, and later as karaoke favourites in Japan.
Laurie Anderson - Big Science
A shot back in time to the University of Washington and
my clustermates who introduced me the surreal and
slightly disturbing sounds of Laurie Anderson in the
early 80s. Although I find much of her work more
annoying than inspiring, certain songs have a way of
working themselves into your mind.
