Thang Long - Hanoi 2007
Our winter trip this year was to another city that has long
lingered phantom-like in the back of my mind: Hanoi,
former capital of French Indochina and home of the Hanoi
Hilton. These days there really is a Hilton as the economy
explodes while the rich cultural past glows in the
background.

Our third trip to Bellingham in just three months, only this
time it was a much happier reason to unite most of the
family. Great walks along the coast and in the forests, and
a side trip to see an excellent Northwest Coast art exhibit
in Seattle.
