Since September 2003 I have been looking at the world through a digital lens.  It's amazing just what one can do with a Sony Cyber-shot camera!  Fortunately the good people at Google also provide the Picasa2 programme free of charge to help organise them all.  The result is that by accident I have begun to systematically document my travels and even daily events happening around me.  A photographic log on the web before I even knew was a blog was.

Individual pictures will end up on the "recent photos" page of this site on a regular basis.  Sometimes however I make a trip or attend an event that results in a flurry (or a CD worth) of material.  Similar to what I have done with
music, I have made CD-length (and now DVD-supported) compilations of digital photographic material, mainly .jpg and .mpg files.  The pages shown on the links above give a listing and overview of these special compilations.  Buying 1 Gigabyte memory sticks in New York and Tokyo finally raised the resolution of my picture taking.  Dropping my Cybershot in Italy in 2006 did even more, since I moved up to 8.0 megapixels.  Unprofessional?  Absolutely, but that's kind of the point.  As shown above on (where else) the Grand' Place in Brussels just before New Year's 2006, all my accessories fit into the palm of my hand.
The WDR Digital logo is made from a (digital) shot of a mask by Kwakiutl artist Andy Bruce that I bought in Vancouver in the summer of 2003.   Dzunakwa (the wild woman of the woods) is powerful and dangerous, but if you trick her by playing on her vanity (and stupidity), you just might be able to receive some treasure.    Click on the links above to get started.  Welcome to My Planet.  Explore away.
